"This public-private partnership will attract tournaments and visitors, support local businesses, create jobs and generate economic activity," Henderson Mayor Michelle Romero said of Henderson Sport & Social, the $70 million fieldhouse at 3375 St. Rose Parkway that opens to the public this month.
The mayor's audience is in the quote. The Las Vegas Sun reported that the city pitched the complex as an answer to recreational demand in western Henderson, where new subdivisions have outgrown the existing facilities. Southern Highlands is a short drive west on the same parkway but falls under a different government. That one fact decides what a Southern Highlands household pays at the valley's newest indoor playground this fall.
Where the city line falls on St. Rose Parkway
Clark County describes Enterprise as an unincorporated town administered by the County. The Clark County Assessor lists Enterprise as the "City/Unincorporated Town" for a parcel in a Southern Highlands subdivision. A Southern Highlands address is a Clark County address, and Henderson Sport & Social's best pricing is tied to the City of Henderson.
The three published descriptions of that pricing don't use the same words:
| Source | How the discount is described |
|---|---|
| Las Vegas Sun, Sept. 3, 2026 | Henderson residents get 20% off "select programming and activities" under the city's agreement with operator KemperSports |
| Henderson Sport & Social, Sept. 8, 2026 | Henderson residents get 20% off all attractions and fitness memberships; members who aren't Henderson residents get 10% off all attractions |
| Henderson Sport & Social membership page | Memberships include a separate 10% off parties, food and beverage, entertainment attractions other than the arcade, and league or tournament fees |
Under every version, Southern Highlands residents get the 10% discount only by becoming members, never the 20%. The venue says Henderson residents must show a valid ID on their first visit to get their discount. Its public pages don't say which documents count.
What the visitor rate looks like
Paying the visitor rate doesn't lock anyone out. The complex is open to the public, and a membership is required only for the Fitness Center. The building is a two-level, 180,000-square-foot facility. It has four convertible basketball courts, indoor turf fields and 20 bowling lanes, six of them luxury VIP lanes. It also has a double-decker laser tag arena, minigolf, an arcade, a 30,000-square-foot family entertainment area, a restaurant and a full-service bar. The website calls the attractions-and-dining side "Social House."
Here's what the posted prices add up to:
- Mini golf is $12 per person Monday through Thursday and $15 Friday through Sunday. A family of four pays $48 on a Tuesday and $60 on a Saturday.
- Krazy Darts costs $55 per bay for up to eight people. A full bay works out to less than $7 a person.
- Memberships cost $60 a month for Fitness, $155 for Social and $175 for Family. The Social tier includes bowling, laser tag, mini golf and Krazy Darts.
- Youth basketball runs October 19 through December 18. Standard registration is $174 per player before any eligible discount, and sign-ups close October 9, five days from today.
The text on the public pages doesn't give fixed prices for bowling, the arcade or laser tag, and it doesn't list general hours for the restaurant and attractions. Check the venue's site before planning a night around those.
The rollout begins tomorrow. The soft opening is Monday, October 5, followed by limited hours on October 7 and October 15 and the public grand opening on Friday, October 16. The building already has tournament traffic. Henderson Sport & Social announced it would host The Border League, a high school basketball showcase, from October 2 through 6.
October 17 puts both calendars on one Saturday
The second day of Henderson Sport & Social's grand opening weekend is the same day as the Southern Highlands Fall Festival. The festival runs Saturday, October 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Goett Family Park, 10950 Southern Highlands Parkway. Admission is free for all ages.
FOX5 lists a pumpkin patch, inflatable games and slides, rock wall climbing, face painting, crafts, bingo, food trucks and a Vendor Village. The posted schedule:
- 11 a.m. Gates open
- 11:30 a.m. World Acro LV on the main stage
- 1 p.m. World Acro LV's second set
- 1:30 p.m. Costume contest near the main stage
- 2 p.m. Festival raffle
- 3 p.m. Festival ends
Each event raises money for a different local cause. Festival proceeds go to the Southern Highlands Boys & Girls Club. Henderson Sport & Social's silent auction on October 16 and 17 benefits the Cure 4 The Kids Foundation, which the Sun describes as Nevada's only nonprofit pediatric cancer and rare disease treatment center. The festival ends at 3 p.m. That leaves the afternoon open for the auction and a round of mini golf at the weekend rate.
The festival's published materials explain vendor parking in the lot next to the Boys & Girls Club, but they don't give parking directions for attendees.
A new kitchen on the Parkway
Most of the Southern Highlands calendar happens along a short stretch of one road. Goett Family Park is at 10950 Southern Highlands Parkway. The newest restaurant on that stretch is a few blocks east at No. 11350.
Mama Tess's Artisan Kitchen opened this summer at 11350 Southern Highlands Parkway, Suite 125. It is run by Stephanie "Mama Tess" Richter, who co-owns the Pioneer Saloon with her husband, Stephen "Old Man Liver" Staats. The Review-Journal describes the Pioneer Saloon as a 113-year-old bar about 40 miles southwest of Las Vegas. The menu has soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, house desserts and milkshakes, and many of the signature dishes started at the saloon. "The menu items are based on dishes that I make at home for family and friends," Richter said in the restaurant's announcement.
The restaurant opens at 11 a.m. every day. It closes at 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and at 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. On festival day, the stage program wraps up at 3 p.m., and Mama Tess's is open until 10 p.m. that Saturday.
December comes back to 11411
After the festival, the Southern Highlands calendar on the HOA's site is short. Its October archive shows a 5 p.m. association meeting on October 27, with open and executive sessions and time for owner comments. The next big public event is in December, a little farther up the same parkway.
The Southern Highlands Winter Festival and Tree Lighting runs Friday, December 4, from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Southern Highlands Corporate Center, 11411 Southern Highlands Parkway. The tree is lit at 5:30 p.m. Crafts, letters to Santa, hot cocoa, inflatables and Vendor Village shopping are free. Photos with Santa, the festive train ride and holiday merchandise are offered for a donation. Parking is at the Corporate Center and at Olympia Sports Park, which also has an event shuttle.
The toy drive for charity partner Operation Warm Heart runs November 16 through December 7 and takes new, unwrapped toys. You can drop them off at the Olympia Management Services office Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can also bring them to the Corporate Center during the tree lighting on December 4.
The youth basketball season at Henderson Sport & Social ends December 18, two weeks after the tree lighting. A Southern Highlands family can fill the whole season with events from both calendars. The fall and winter festivals on Southern Highlands Parkway are free, and the leagues and attractions on St. Rose Parkway charge the visitor rate.
Jurisdiction affects more than the price of a mini golf round. It also determines which government, discounts and services come with an address along St. Rose Parkway.
